Dr Gillian Mckeith At Olympia
June 20 2007
I was lucky enough to meet the delightful Dr Gillian McKeith at Olympia in April, as we were both at The Natural and Organic Exhibition. She is so warm and friendly, and her mission to pass her knowledge of healthy eating on to the rest of the world is a true passion!
I find Gillian’s books enlightening and informative, and they have actually changed my lifestyle. I would never have believed that there would be a time when I wouldn’t enjoy sweet puddings but that day has come!
I occasionally find that the sight or smell of something sweet and sticky triggers a memory button (of how much I enjoy the taste!) only to find that I actually dislike the sweetness and cannot finish it! (For those non-believers in you – all I say is try not to eat processed or sugary foods for a while and see how you feel).
I don’t really have a weight problem, but I feel so much healthier and have loads more energy. I used to get lots of colds but if I do get a cold now, it is not as severe and does not last for as long.
Well, sermon over (I will leave that to Gillian!), but as there are so many delicious fresh seasonal fruit and veggies for you to choose from at the moment, how about making a pledge?
If you can eat seasonal fresh fruit and veggies and avoid the crisps/sweets aisle in the supermarket for one month I would love to hear from you – and a lucky winner will win one of Dr Gillian McKeith’s Shopping Guides to carry with you wherever you shop!
All you have to do is make a pledge and then each week write and let us know how you are doing. We will support you all the way! Dr Gillian McKeith has kindly donated the book to me in support of my Green and Organic ethos
