January 29 2010
Ginger is a great remedy for nausea and has been used by many generations for nausea during pregnancy and travelling. But ginger can be used for any type of nausea, is also a good treatment for indigestion and is generally fast acting. It is also warming and a gentle detoxifying for the body, and can be a powerful anti-inflammatory that can relieve the pain of arthritis.
Drink your ginger.....
For its strongest effects, pour hot water on a thumb-sized piece of peeled, crushed fresh root ginger and drink it as a tea.
Eat your ginger......
You can also use ginger in stir fried vegetables. Simply finely chop the ginger and fry it with the onion and garlic in the wok until softened before adding the vegetables. You will be adding flavour and health benefits. Delicious!
